Peppermint treats

In the story Alice in Wonderland, Alice tasted lots of different things. This week we made some peppermint creams using;

Icing sugar
Egg white
Peppermint flavouring

When the creams dried we melted some chocolate and dipped them.

They look delicious!!

Have a look at the photographs.

A sensible message

E-safety week

This week has been a very important and interesting week.
We have been finding out how to keep ourselves safe when we go on the internet.

We have been watching cartoons about Hector. He is a dolphin and lives in the ocean with his friends. He learns about the dangers of sharing personal information and what cyber bullying is.

If you would like to watch the cartoons again and play the games click here

Can you remember who this is?

Keeping ourselves safe

In the story Alice in Wonderland, Alice drank liquids with the label "Drink Me" and ate food with the label "Eat Me"
During circle time we talked about how we keep ourselves safe, what we do when we see cleaning products and medicines around the house.

The children made posters to give the message to others about Being Safe and making the right choices.

Well done everyone!

Data handling

This week we have been finding ways to show information. We asked each other what our favourite pet was and put this data onto a tally chart. We then showed this data on a bar chart.

It was quite tricky making sure we added the correct information in the correct space.

Here are some photographs of children finding information and making their bar chart.

Here is a game we played too.

This week we have been learning how to use the digital camera.
We had to follow instructions and listen carefully.
We had to remember to put the strap around our wrist at all times.
We found out about the lens, the view finder, the flash and how to put the photographs onto the classroom computer.
Here are some of the children using the camera.
